I had been looking forward to this Halloween since becoming pregnant. Everyone imagines putting their child in the cutest costume and taking them around trick-or-treating for the first time. I had Ethan's outfit planned out and everything. One of his ultrasound pictures looks remarkably like a profile of a mustachioed man flexing his arm - so, naturally, I've envisioned Ethan on Halloween wearing a muscle-suit and a mustache. After searching online, I decided I didn't like what was available so decided it would be a "good idea" to just make the costume myself. I am a very silly person, obviously. I did a fine job for the most part, but as Halloween loomed ever nearer, I had to face facts that it just wasn't going to happen. So, we did the next best thing (which really should have been our "plan A" from the start) we ran to a "big-box-store" bought a generic lion costume (which happened to be 50% off ;) - yay, procrastination!) and paired it with the Real Salt Lake jersey we got the previous year, and Voila! We have Leo the Lion, the Mascot for Real Salt Lake! Brendan and I went as "fans", wearing our assorted paraphernalia, and there you have it, Ethan's first Halloween -- CHECK!
Here is my little man practicing before the real thing. I am very proud to say he got 3 candies on Halloween night, all by himself!

Ethan is so cute! I think you did a great job with the costume. Hope you had fun together on Halloween.
