I had ideas swimming around in my head for the nursery from the day we found out we were expecting. We were convinced we were having a girl...until we found out we were having a boy, so I had to return to the drawing board and decided I wanted to do a "family tree" mural on the wall behind his crib. I started by tracing the outline of the tree on the wall in chalk and filled it in with charcoal-gray paint.
Then after several attempts (and failures) to paint leaves on the tree, I ended up borrowing a Cricut and cutting out a million leaves in vinyl. And here's what it looks like now :)
The next phase of this project is getting the pictures of family framed and hung and then it will be done!
Here's the dresser I refinished for Ethan's room. It took some time to sand off the previous paint (and stickers that had been stuck on the side for who knows how long). But after a few coats of indigo-blue spray paint, a coat of dark glaze, and new brushed-nickle knobs and Presto! A Brand-New Dresser

Looks great! I like that you know exactly what your style is. For me I like to many things and end up with a mish-mash of everything. I love your nursery ideas!
